A definition for how hardware and software technologies combine to build a computer platform or system is known as computer architecture. When we hear the word architecture, it reminds us of constructing a home or a structure. Computer architecture means the construction of a computer and all of the components that make up a computer system, all while keeping that same idea in mind. There are mainly three types of computer architecture.

Types of Computer Architecture
There are three types of Computer Architecture. Here are three types of Computer Architecture:
- System Design: All hardware components, such as the CPU, data processors, multiprocessors, memory controllers, and direct memory access, are included in System Design. The main computer system is housed in this section.
- Instruction set architecture: The functions and capabilities of both the CPU, as well as the CPU’s programming language, data formats, processor register types, and commands used by computer programmers, are all included in the Instruction set architecture. This section contains the software that allows it to run computer programs like Windows, Photoshop, and others.
- Microarchitecture: This section specifies the data processing and storage elements, often known as data paths, as well as how they should be implemented in the instruction set architecture. DVD storage devices and other similar devices may fall under this category.
